Molasses spray on brassicas- use with caution.
A spray of a tablespoon of molasses in a litre of warm water with a few drops of detergent makes a wonderful spray to deter/kill cabbage moth larvae on brassicas (broccoli, cauliflower, cabbages).
However be warned-rats are attracted to it as well, and will happily chomp the heads off your seedlings flavoured with molasses, so it's best to use it in either rat free areas or only on young seedlings that have not formed heads yet.
My broccoli at home are thriving but my broccoli at the gardens have been chomped- both were planted at the same time and sprayed with molasses.

Slug deterrents.
This is a very informative video with a number of slug repelling and killing remedies. Some well known and a couple I hadn't heard of before.
